On May 15, 2012 a meeting devoted to implementation of the Investment Project “Integrated Development of South Yakutia” was conducted in the building of Permanent Establishment under the Russian President in Moscow.
The design of Kankunskaya HEPP is complete. The design documents have been passed over for state expert evaluation. General planner OJSC Lenhydroproject and the design customer OJSC South Yakutia HEC (RusHydro) plan to obtain a decision from FAE Glavgosexpertiza not later than Q3 of 2012.
On February 24, Aldan hosted public hearings where the plans and layout of a permanent settlement for the workers of Kankunskaya HEPP in the city of Aldan and a residential development for the accommodation of personnel on rotating assignments in the area of hydropower installation.
On February 14, the Committee of Investor Representatives for the South Yakutia project took place in Moscow at the office of South Yakutia Development Corporation.
On November 29, at the board meeting of the Economy and Industrial Policy RS(Y) the issue of investment projects’ implementation in South and West Yakutia was addressed.
